More than four decades ago, Simon Ghanimian arrived in America with just $200 in his pocket and a dream of going to college to be an engineer. However, when he tried to sign up for classes in New York, they were thousands of dollars which he couldn’t afford. Luckily, he had a relative working in the diamond district who invited him to work there and save up for school. He started setting diamonds, and soon fell in love with the process, artistry, and details of jewelry making.

What began as a humble dream built through determination and hard work would eventually become one of the most respected names in luxury bridal and fine jewelry.

From the earliest days of the company, Simon approached every piece with extraordinary attention to detail and a deep respect for the emotional significance behind fine jewelry. To him, jewelry was never simply about design. It was about creating something lasting — something that would be worn, treasured, and eventually passed down.

As the brand grew, so did the values that defined it: craftsmanship, integrity, consistency, and family.

Today, Simon G. enters its second chapter under the leadership of one of Simon’s sons, Zaven Ghanimian, who now serves as CEO. Having grown up around the business, Zaven witnessed firsthand the dedication, discipline, and care his father poured into every part of the company. Those lessons shaped not only how he leads, but how he views the purpose of the brand itself.

That philosophy continues to guide everything Simon G. creates today.

Focus On Quality As a concept is formed in reality, the jewelry piece is monitored in 10 separate quality-control stations. Metals are alloyed in-house to ensure enduring hardiness and perfectly matching color tones. Details are celebrated in extraordinarily delicate beadwork, filigree, and engraving that set our pieces apart. All pieces are polished not only on the top surface, but on the back, interior, and underneath the stones to create the most light-reflecting surfaces. We are committed to produced only the finest quality jewelry to do justice to our creative visions.

Setting Diamonds All of our diamonds are hand set and then inspected under microscopes by seasoned artisans who work within one of three disciplines: pavé, channel, or prong settings. This ensures that all diamonds are securely fastened and that they reflect light exactly as conceptualized. Additionally, unlike many in the industry who use glue to set diamonds or set them using only two prongs, we go a step further and use four prongs to protect diamonds and prevent stones from falling out. All our Simon Set pieces use patented technology to replicate the look of invisible set while providing more security and protection for the diamonds.
